Meet Dr. Jorge Angulo
Dr. Angulo grew up in Orlando. After attending Florida State University, he received his dental degree from the University of Maryland. Before entering private practice, Dr. Angulo completed a residency in hospital dentistry at the University of Florida.
Since returning to Orlando, he has been one of the University of Central Florida’s athletic department dentists and is involved with the University of Florida as a clinical instructor in a post-graduate setting. Dr. Angulo is an active member of the Spear Study Club. He is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando.
Dr. Angulo, or “George” as his friends call him, plays pick-up basketball and constantly trains for Obstacle Course Races. He enjoys the cinema, craft beer, cooking, and reading nonfiction. He and his wife Kendale live in Altamonte Springs.
For the 9th year in a row, Dr. Angulo has been listed as a Top Dentist by Orlando Magazine!
Dr. Angulo has met the requirements and has completed the Resnik Implant Institute Surgical Continuum. This rigorous program is recognized by both the Academy of General dentistry, and the ADA-CERP continuing education recognition program. Dr. Angulo is now a Fellow of the Resnik Implant Institute.
Dr. Angulo will implement this hands-on training into our practice, enabling us to better serve our patients dental implant surgical and restoration needs. We congratulate Dr. Angulo on this major accomplishment!
Meet Dr. Joseph Fernandes
Dr. Fernandes then moved to Louisiana to complete a one year hospital residency at Louisiana State University before joining a private practice outside of New Orleans, where he began his career. He later decided to return to and settle in Florida and that is where he eventually joined our team.
Dr. Fernandes believes that his role as a dentist also comes with a responsibility to his community. He volunteers on a monthly basis at Grace Medical Home in Orlando and volunteers as both a clinician and board member of the Dental Care Access Foundation.
Outside of dentistry he is just as active. In his free time he enjoys playing sports as he is still an avid athlete, enjoys cooking, reading non-fiction, and spending days at the beach and outdoors. He loves to travel and has visited over 20 countries!
His current interests in dentistry include the implementation of AI and 3D printing, emergency and trauma management, and learning about different dental materials.
Dr. Fernandes looks forward to meeting you and is excited to be a part in helping you reach your own personal goals with us.
Meet Dr. Ireni Mikhail
Dr. Ireni Mikhail was born in Egypt and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1993, eventually making South Florida their home. She completed her undergraduate studies in Microbiology at the University of Florida in 2010, then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2014. Following dental school, Dr. Mikhail advanced her training with a general practice residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Mikhail then decided to move back to her home state and has been in private practice in Central Florida since 2015.
Throughout her education and career, Dr. Mikhail has consistently pursued excellence, expanding her expertise across various areas of dentistry. She prides herself in her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality care. Dr. Mikhail values patient education and strives to ensure every visit is comfortable and pain-free.
Residing in Maitland with her husband and two children, Dr. Mikhail treasures family time and, as a devoted “foodie,” loves exploring Orlando’s vibrant restaurant scene.
